Brief Information: First Flight Helicopter Flight Training in Athens, Georgia is now offering a Trial Introductory Helicopter Flight. During your introductory flight, you will actually take the controls and fly the helicopter yourself! Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be introduced to your instructor and the dual control helicopter, and receive a safety briefing. Your session will begin with a 45 minute briefing about what makes a helicopter fly, what the various controls do and the basics of flying the helicopter. During the last part of the briefing, you will be in the cockpit getting the feel of the controls and the layout of the helicopter. Then you’re off on a 35 minute introductory training flight.
You will watch your instructor start up the engine, lift off the ground and begin your first helicopter training flight. Within a few minutes you will be trying your hand at the controls. One by one, more controls will be introduced to you until, toward the end of the flight you will be flying the helicopter. You will be able to feel the thrill of flying under the watchful eye of your instructor. As you get the feel of the helicopter you may be allowed to fly around the training area under your instructor’s guidance and and make turning maneuvers and see just how easy it is to fly
